Eternal Overflow Water Well Campaign - Julia Pickett

Sweet family and friends, 

In March 2024, I got the beautiful opportunity to travel to Uganda, Africa with Master Cares. My heart has been heavily drawn to the abundant need for clean drinking water in Uganda. While there, we had the wonderful chance to plant a freshwater well in a village. After seeing the urgency for accessible water, the mission had to continue. 

This campaign has been created out of a sincere love for this country, the joy-filled people, and Master Cares, but also because of the great need for fresh, purified drinking water.  

As well as a sweet reminder that while this water well can temporarily quench one’s thirst, Christ is the only one who can eternally fulfill this role. God is our fountain of life, the source and sustainer of all needs on earth. 

With Christ, we can run to the well, receive living water, and live in love out of a place of overflow all of our days. We have all we could ever need,  and our cup runneth over in Him. Eternally overflowing. 

The typical impact of one well, costing around $3,700, can offer around 1,000 people clean water for a long time.  How awesome is that?

Isaiah 12:3 “”With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.“

John 4:14 “but whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 7:38 “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

Psalm 36:7-9 “How priceless your faithful love is, God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They are filled from the abundance of your house. You let them drink from your refreshing stream. For the wellspring of life is with you.”
